The Nashville Predators have won the 2017-18 Presidents’ Trophy. The Preds locked up the best record in the NHL with a 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals and a Bruins 3-2 loss to the Florida Panthers, assuring them the best record in the league.

The Preds are obviously very happy that they won the Presidents’ Trophy but they know there’s still a lot of work to be done. They know the Presidents’ Trophy doesn’t mean much heading into the playoffs. They still have a long way to go before getting to the Cup Final.

Nashville has had an absolutely tremendous season. They began climbing in the standings rapidly and there was no sign of them slowing down. Last season the Preds entered the playoffs as the eighth seed, this year they will enter as the first. Home ice advantage is a HUGE plus in the playoffs, especially in game 7 situations.

If the Bruins are eliminated before Nashville them I myself am all in on Nashville winning the Cup. The organization, the team, and it’s fans are beyond deserving. They have turned Nashville into a hockey town. Anyone that says it isn’t a hockey town is crazy. That city is amazing.

Nashville may be the strongest, most complete team heading into the playoffs. They’re going to be tough to beat as the whole City is dying for a Stanley Cup and the team is beyond ready to compete. Congrats to Nashville, well deserved!
