Last night, the Celtics beat the Pelicans by a 13 point difference, ending 113-110. Familiar names filled in the lineup, but some key forces were missing. Marcus Morris carried the team with 31 points, and 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Jayson Tatum had 21 points with 6 rebounds and an assist, and Jaylen Brown scored 19 with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Semi Ojeleye had 11, Terry Rozier had 10, and Daniel Theis, Marcus Smart, Robert Williams, and Brad Wanamaker scored in the single digits. Robert Williams led the C’s in rebounds with 11.

-Where were Aron Baynes, Al Horford, Kyrie Irving, and Guerschon Yabusele? The Celtics had quite a few injuries and illnesses last night:

-We recalled Robert Williams and P.J. Dozier from Maine. P.J. Dozier made a 2 minute appearance with nothing to amount from it. Robert Williams on the other hand had a monster block again Anthony Davis. Fans are calling it “Rook over Brow” (as in rookie over eyebrow):

Marcus Morris Sr. commented on the matter, “There’s not too many guys in the league that can block Anthony Davis’ shot. That alone is special.”

-The Celtics are now on a 6-game win streak and stand 5th in the Eastern Conference at 16-10. They play the Wizards tomorrow at 7pm. The Wizards are 11-16, on a 2 loss streak, and 10th in the Eastern Conference.
