Buzz Bulletin: Playing Catchup

Holy cow. I took a week off, and now we need to play some major catch-up because Things Are Happening. Let’s jump in with some seriously spicy drama coming out of Los Angeles.

I Regret To Inform You That Tristan Thompson Is Still The Worst.

Ugh. Freaking Tristan Thompson, you guys.

The Cavs forward last made headlines for being a dirt bag last April when news broke that he cheated on Khloe Kardashian, who was literally hours away from giving birth to the couple’s daughter True. The pair had appeared to have been working hard on reconciliation since the cheating scandal, which made Tuesday’s news even more infuriating.

On Sunday, Thompson was spotted making out with model Jordyn Woods at a house party in Los Angeles. What makes this situation even more sticky is the fact that Woods is best friends—like, totally inseparable BFFs—with Kylie Jenner (AKA Khloe’s makeup mogul/billionaire little sister).

According to E! News, Khloe has called off the relationship and Tristan is officially cancelled. Something tells me the drama won’t be over anytime soon, though.

Freaking Tristan. The. Worst.

Steph Curry Is A Treasure, Though.

For every Tristan Thompson in the world, there is a Steph Curry to bring light, laughter, and a killer jump shot.

Curry got the job done for Jimmy Fallon over All-Star Break weekend, when he dropped three super random phrases into interviews (unbeknownst to reporters) over the course of the weekend for the sake of a great bit.

Check it out.

Ariana Grande’s Hockey Connection

Guys, I’ve been dying to share this story with you for more than a week now. In fact, if you follow us on Twitter (shameless plug: @sportsfromvenus), you already know that I couldn’t wait that long.

For those of you squares who don’t, here’s the scoop. Before she became the Grammy-winning, ponytailed human cupcake that she is now, Ariana Grande was the first person to be hit by a puck at a Florida Panthers game—and then got hit a second time nine months later.

The family had season tickets behind the penalty box, a hotspot for flying pucks in the stands.

Just for fun, here’s a video of the pop star as an eight-year-old singing the National Anthem at a Panthers home game. Enjoy.

This Kid Has Some Strong Opinions

It’s safe to say that this kid is not heartbroken to see Manny Machado go to the Padres.
