2019 Draft Needs Tracker – Los Angeles Rams

With the draft looming a few short weeks away, teams are busy figuring out who can make their teams better. Here’s my take on what your team needs to do in the draft to take the next step.

NFC West – Los Angeles Rams

1st Round: 31
2nd Round: none
3rd Round: 95

This year’s Super Bowl runner-up doesn’t need a whole lot of help. They’re a team that’s been on the upswing and they are truly a menacing consortium of talent all over the field. I can’t imagine a team with less true NEEDS in this year’s draft. They’d like to have more depth at running back after Todd Gurley’s injury likely helped sputter their championship hopes. They’ll probably want to invest a bit more in their offensive line, as New England’s well-schemed attack exposed the Rams offense by stuffing the run and not allowing slow-developing play action passes to come together. New England showed a formula that is absolutely reproducible, and Sean McVay will want to prevent that from happening on the regular. The Rams don’t have a lot of picks, so I’m fully expecting them to go offensive line in the first round and then running back with that third-round pick.
